Description
It has been sixteen years since Chris Kenyon and I wrote the first paper on heutagogy or selfdetermined learning. It is an idea built on the shoulders of giants of educational theory and practice in constructivism, humanism, capability and the idea of human agency. Since then, there has been an increasing interest in the theory and practice of heutagogy across the globe. This paper seeks to examine the evolution of the idea since 2000.
