Description
Heritage Visitor Attractions (HVAs) are defined and the principles of operations management described. Following an introduction to the design of HVAs, it goes on to examine the links between operations and strategy, their quality and improvement, and capacity management. The final section consists of six in-depth case studies which graphically illustrate the issues highlighted in the rest of the book. These case studies include a farm; Thackray Medical Museum, Leeds, Santa trains at Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway; Nugget Hill; Leeds Castle, Kent; and Coventry's Museums and Galleries (all UK).
