Description
This study aimed to determine the effect of transformational leadership on employee motivation and performance. This study tested three hypotheses:(1) a significant effect of transformational leadership style directly to employee performance,(2) a significant effect of transformational leadership style directly to the motivation of employees, and (3) employee motivation is directly significant effect on employee performance. This study using 62 respondents as sample. The analysis technique used descriptive analysis, factor analysis, and path analysis. The conclusion of this study were:(1) there is a positive and significant effect between transformational leadership with employee performance,(2) there is a positive and significant effect between transformational leadership and motivation of employees,(3) there is a significant positive effect between employee motivation to employee performance. Some suggestions that need to be addressed to strengthen the transformational leadership is necessary to improve the ability of subordinates to deal with problems at work, improving confidence in the decisions made subordinate by the leader. Improved employee motivation do with the policy of transparency in the determination of benefits and reward system. The implication of this study is the indirect effect between transformational leadership with the work performance of employees through employee motivation.
