Description
➢ For this study, we used the Mundt database [] which include data collected from 35 physicianreferred patients undergoing treatment for depression. The patients were assessed weekly over a period of 6 weeks.➢ Subject sessions were labeled as depressed if their HAM-D score was 17 or greater, and as nondepressed if their score was 7 or lower, with scores of 8 to 16 excluded because their depression status is ambiguous.➢ Based on clinical HAMD scores, only 6 patients showed the transition from depressed state to non-depressed state as listed in the Table 1.➢ The speech signals consist of 4 vowels (a, i, u, ae) and 3 utterances where they talked freely about their emotional state, physical state and ability to function.
