Description
This paper describes a controlled experiment to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of three creativity enhancement techniques:(1) the full EPMcreate;(2) the Power-Only EPMcreate, an optimization of the full EPMcreate; and traditional brainstorming. Each technique was used by teams of students each of which applied its technique to generate ideas for requirements for enhancing a high school’s public Web site. The results indicate that the Power-Only EPM-create is more effective, quantitatively and qualitatively than the full EPMcreate, which is, in turn, more effective than traditional brainstorming.
