The author discusses the various climate justice movements beginning with the Climate Ation Network (CAN) in 1997, the first climate advocacy movement in global civil society. The inability of the global elite actors to solve major environmental, geopolitical, social and economic problems makes it necessary for a climate justice philosophy and ideology, principles, strategies and tactics.
