A general EMG-power model is developed in the form of a non-linear differential equation. The model takes into account muscle parameters which are length-dependent. Experiments were performed to verify the model over a large range of elbow flexion. The experimental results support the power model indicating that the root mean square value of the myoelectric signal is a direct measure of muscle power.
