Objectives:
To evaluate differences in long-term fetal growth with respect to variability in umbilical artery Doppler systolic/diastolic ratio (UAD S/D) measurements in growth-restricted pregnancies.
Methods:
This was a prospective observational study performed at a tertiary referral centre from 2012–2015. Singleton fetuses with an estimated fetal weight (EFW) less than the 10 th percentile were diagnosed with fetal growth restriction (FGR) and included in the study. Weekly UAD S/D ratios of the individual umbilical arteries (2 values per artery) were performed and classified as normal or abnormal (elevated≥ 95 th percentile for gestational age, absent or reversed end-diastolic flow). Fetal growth was assessed every 3 weeks. Management was per departmental guidelines.
