Objectives:
To evaluate short-term growth in fetuses with fetal growth restriction (FGR) and elevated umbilical artery Doppler systolic/diastolic (UAD S/D) ratios with respect to the number of elevated flow values in that visit.
Methods:
This was a prospective observational study of singleton fetuses with FGR, defined as an estimated fetal weight (EFW) less than the 10 th percentile, performed from 2012–2015. Weekly UAD S/D ratios of the individual umbilical arteries (2 values per artery) were performed and classified as normal or elevated≥ 95 th percentile per gestational age (GA). Fetal growth was assessed every 3 weeks. The primary outcome was the change in EFW in grams (g) from the first visit with elevated S/D flow until the next growth assessment, adjusted for gestational age.
