A close look at any selection will reveal meter, pacing, alliteration, and sound used to hypnotize the reader and reinforce literal meanings. One line in" Concierto de Aranjuez" shows this shaping." Our pace quickens and a slight swagger loosens our gait"(18)." Pace" and" quickens" are two hard, accented words that express just that, a speeding up and a driving forward.
