Description
The New Zealand (NZ) Government’s vision is for NZ to be a non-disabling society “where disabled people have an equal opportunity to achieve their goals and aspirations”. Disabled people are more likely to experience disadvantage across a wide range of outcomes including education, housing, economic security and health and wellbeing. Approximately 11% of young people in NZ have a disability (5) therefore it is important to understand what their experiences are to better inform policies that promote their wellbeing.
