Description
Aims and Objectives
The overall aim of the LCEDN at its foundation in 2012 was to serve as a multidisciplinary intersectoral platform for academics, practitioners, policymakers and private sector organisations from across the UK working in partnership with global stakeholders on low carbon energy and international development. The USES research programme aimed to contribute to the longer-term goal of increased clean energy access, resilience and wealth creation for low-income households and communities in developing countries, by undertaking high-quality research that improves the understanding and evidence base of opportunities and challenges associated with scaling up clean energy for development.
