Description
In an experiment to assess the weed-flora and the effect ofadditional weeding on Gossipium hirsutum (L.)(cotton) and Zea mays (L.)(maize) yields in Muzarabani, paired plotexperimentation on farmers' fields was used. One ofthe plots was farmer managed while the other was researcher managed. The participatory approach was used to select the farmers from the four different resource groups in the area. A comparative analysis was done on the weed flora and crop yields for farmermanaged andresearcher managed plots. Apartial budgetwas used to analyse the effects of extra weeding.
