Knowledge is very often hidden in unstructured sources like text. Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology is key when it comes to extracting knowledge from text and integrating it into knowledge graphs. We provide a brief introduction to a typical NLP pipeline and give an example implementation based on the General Architecture for Text Engineering (GATE) tool.
