Description
The error-propagation characteristics of Operator-Splitting-based algorithms with numerical dissipation and force correction are investigated in this paper. These algorithms are shown to suppress the experimental error amplification but they tend to degrade the accuracy of solutions. Hence, an explicit predictor-multi-corrector algorithm is investigated. The algorithm shows superior performance and can be effectively adopted for pseudodynamic test computations in many circumstances.
