Agriculture accounts for approximately 11% of the total global GHG (greenhouse gases) emissions, and with the increase in emissions globally, efforts need to focus on improving farm management practices and the options used, more effectively and efficiently. Drought, rising temperatures, and greenhouse gas emissions all directly or indirectly impact human health and productivity of natural and agricultural ecosystems. The current farming practices also harm the food chain and ecosystem functioning. Applying beneficial microbial inoculants is one of the various techniques suggested to combat this widespread agricultural issue sustainably and mitigate the detrimental effects of the climate change.
