This chapter discusses the controversial interactions of cultural and economic values, as an example of so-called city regeneration projects. It presents those cultural and creative industries are very popular notions in mainstream cultural policy and research literature will be confronted with a more universal concept of "the right to the city". "Quality of life is difficult to quantify", says Daniel Chodorkoff.
