Description
This paper is a report of a concept and a first pretest results of the evaluation of the Paderborn Vocational Education Concept (PVEC) for Serious Games and “The Fair Project”, a best practice serious game based on the PVEC. The PVEC consists of elements in four different areas. Based on Core Principles it combines Didactical Components and Technical Components and leads to implementation. During the implementation process the Implementing Elements are applied. Using a quantitative questionnaire the first pretest evaluation leads to very positive results. Findings in a pretest in Paderborn, Germany, and Cologne, Germany, showed the importance of the elements of PVEC and a positive rating and polarity profile for “The Fair Project” and its first implementation. They indicate that a didactical implementation concept leads to results of higher quality in serious games.
