Description
The studies about implementation of educational resources catalogs are essential because they allow us to believe the sharing of resources within education communities of practice. The LOM schema (Learning Object Metadata) plays a central role for development of XML specifications and mechanisms to reference educational resources. It's the first stone of a building which should lead us to the creation of an international network of resources catalog. In the present situation, we present an investigation about the notion of educational resource using the “instrumental approach” developed by Pierre Rabardel. This approach is a constructivist point of view on human-artifact relations. We identify the disadvantages of LOM schema and then we propose three kinds of solutions.
