Description
In this paper one improved finite-set model predictive flux control (FS-MPFC) for linear induction machines (LIMs) is proposed. In order to exceed the associated problems of the conventional finite-set model predictive thrust control (FS-MPTC) strategy, such as too many calculation steps, complex tuning procedure for the weighting factor. The proposed FS-MPFC strategy can exclude the utilization of the weighting factor from the cost function of the conventional control methods, and achieves less calculation steps. Moreover, the proposed strategy is integrated with a sliding mode controller (SMC) to achieve faster dynamic response. Full comparison between the conventional FS-MPTC and the proposed FS-MPFC has been made through comprehensive simulation and theoretical analysis. The results have demonstrated that the proposed control method can get quicker tracing speed, lower thrust and flux ripples in …
