Description
The article introduces an experiment involving visual information processing. In particular, it is noted that when shown an unpleasant image, respondents will claim to not see certain key elements of the image or insert another image in its place. This shows that there exists a cognitive framework that causes people to ignore certain aschematic stimuli as a defense mechanism.
