This report is calling for a Just Transition for coal communities in Queensland. The term is not well known in common Australian political rhetoric. The ‘Just Transition’term in this report is defined as a transition that supports environmental policies with a fair distribution of the costs and benefits across the economy, and that support the creation of opportunities for active engagement by those affected to determine the future wellbeing of themselves and their families.
