Description
Objectives: In our study we explored, by immunohistochemical (IHC) study, EZH2 expression in primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the GI tract (pDLBCL-GI) and its correlation to MYC and Ki67 positivity.
Methods: This retrospective study was approved by our Institutional Review Board (IRB). Cases with pDLBCL-GI were retrieved via Path-Net system. IHC studies for EZH2, MYC, and Ki67 were performed according to the standard protocol. Staining intensity was scaled as 1 (mild), 2 (moderate), and 3 (strong) for EZH2 and 1 (< 25%), 2 (25-50%), 3 (51-75%), and 4 (> 75%) for Ki67. Cutoff for c-MYC overexpression was 40% and for EZH2 overexpression was> 1.0 (% positive cells× intensity). Statistical analyses utilized the χ 2 test to compare expression between DLBCL and low grade follicular lymphoma (LGFL).
Results: Twenty-four cases (median age= 68 years; M: F ratio= 1.4), were confirmed to be pDLBCL …
