Description
This is a multi case study that will analyze the development of clean energy projects in Latin America (LA). For that, one specific case, developed in the summer 2001 and dealing with the establishment of a wind power industry in Alberta Canada, will be used as a pilot in order to compare it against the situation in two LA countries. This international comparative study would help to understand the influence of the different economic, institutional, and socio cultural contexts of countries over the implementation of green power projects. The research will also look at the different factors that would explain the appearing of green energy firms. The study results will specifically contribute to sustainable development and environmental management literature to be applied in the energy sector.
