The aim of this paper is to critically analyze the change in strategic supply chain for global companies acting in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, focusing on the competitive advantage of Romania concerning its atractivness as key location for foreign companies. Globalization brings intensified competition and shifts in customer preferences. Global companies are challenged while designing supply chain in unfamiliar and rapidly changing environments.
