This chapter examines the following issues related to attitudes:(1) the role played by feelings, beliefs and behaviors in the attitude concept,(2) the dispositional versus episodic nature of attitudes, and (3) the relationship between affect and evaluation. In the following discussion we will present a model of attitudes which will address these various issues. In the process we will consider how an approach to attitudes as knowledge structures can both benefit from and contribute to a more general understanding of social knowledge.(PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2020 APA, all rights reserved)
