This chapter explores the complementarity and integration of both fields and what they have to offer to the further development of positive psychology coaching (PPC) and more practically to the "PPC." It aims to give an historical account of the simultaneous emergence of the two complementary fields, an overview of the current status, and an outline of the authors' recommendations for how the two fields may continue to be integrated. While the two fields have been defined as complementary and there are some dedicated journal articles and conference presentations on the integration of positive psychology and coaching psychology, there are limited published texts available on the combination of both approaches, PPC.
