This paper is a survey which compares and contrasts the distributions and uses of Nsyilxcn future particle mi and Secwepemctsin me7 in their two major syntactic roles: as clefting particles, and as clause-introducing particles. We focus on the comparative syntax of these two particles, rather than on the semantics.
