Description
Since the first emergence of COVID-19, its effect hits on behavior changed on travel around the world. This study will assess four travel modes which frequently used by millennials, ride-hailing (RH) and private vehicle in Yogyakarta Province, Indonesia. Millennials become a key important factor in travel behavior due to the high proportion in Indonesia. This study used 828 RH users between 18-40 years old and analyzed with ordered logit model. The results shows that there are substation effects among RH users, shown from motorcycle-based users are less likely to use car-based RH services, and vice versa. Nevertheless, the use of private vehicle has a mixed effects to the use of RH. Private motorcycle complements to the use of car-based RH, and private car substitute car-based RH. COVID-19 significantly reduces the use of travel modes, but the use of private motorcycle is still dominant in various way.
