Alicia T. Lamere is an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at Bryant University, where she cofounded and directs the university’s Statistical Consulting Office. She received her PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Notre Dame, where she was a Schmitt Fellow. She received her BA from Hamilton College, with degrees in Mathematics and Studio Art. Alicia’s research is concerned with developing statistical methods for analyzing RNA-sequencing counts, although she is also interested in other non-Gaussian applications and statistical teaching pedagogy. Her published work can be found in journals such as Bioinformatics and Statistics and Its Interface.
