The chapter looks at the extent of their adjustment in school and their behavioral problems. It discusses the conceptual and empirical background to our broad questions, and the instruments used to measure the constructs. The chapter presents a comparative overview of adaptation patterns across the different countries. It compares the adaptation of immigrant youth in the different societies of settlement.
