Description
As firms internationalize, even online, they need to operate across language and cultural boundaries, especially if they want to reach beyond English-speaking users and markets to achieve a high level of international growth. To do so, entrepreneurial firms operating in digital markets need to manage the extent to which they will localize their customer-facing channels. This chapter presents propositions to advance our understanding of the factors that influence localization of such channels, based on an empirical study of three digital channels (websites, Twitter accounts, Facebook pages) of entrepreneurial platform-based firms operating in B2B and B2C digital markets.
