Ketoconazole is one of the antifungals drugs, it is widely used in different county in treatment of prostate cancer as well as used beside to chemotherapy drugs for prevent invasive of fungal and yeast due to depression of immunity. Generally, ketoconazole has advisers and suppuration effect on the reproductive system in both male and female as is proved by previous studies. Laurus nobilis extract considered as natural antioxidant substance, in additionally have antimicrobial properties, antiseptic diaphoretic, digestive and diuretic effects. Thus our research aimed to investigation the protective effect of Laurus nobilis against the effect of ketoconazole on the testicular tissue and sperm parameters included (motility, morphology, concentration and acrosomal integrity). In conclusion, our result suggested that orally administered of Laurus nobilisextract using intragastric tube at 200 mg/kg daily for 4 weeks can protective effect against adverse effect of ketoconazole on sperm parameters of adult male rats.
