Description
People with end stage renal dis-ease (ESRD) receiving hemo-dialysis deteriorate physically at a rapid rate (Marcus et al., 2015). This physical deterioration is independently associated with decreas ed quality of life and increased mortality (Knight, Ofsthun, Teng, Lazarus, & Curhan, 2003). ESRD and hemodialysis therapy manifest into physical and social restrictions that further contribute to decreased physical function in this group (Birmele, Le Gall, Sautenet, Aguerre, & Camus, 2012).
