Description
The experiential learning process by the trainers and trainees, all through from ‘Participatory Soil Sampling’to ‘Field Harvest Day’(Farmers’ Day) on soil fertility management technologies implemented in selected backward and tribal dominated 60 villages in 8 districts of Andhra Pradesh, is documented in an excellent manner in this book. The on-farm operational research, demonstration and training covered 4470 farm households, with 8458 ha cultivable dryland areas in all. The major dryland crops grown were cotton (Gossypium sp.), sorghum (Sorghum bicolor), maize (Zea mays), groundnut (Arachis hypogeae), chickpea (Cicer aretinum), pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan), greengram (Vigna radiata) and castor (Ricinus communis).
