Description
The goals and objectives of climate and energy policy interrelate in complex ways. Recent studies show that environmental protection and international labor regulations affect each other in several important ways, offering new insights into how the law intersects with climate change and labor markets. 1 International institutions predict that the environmental sector will be among the fastest growing segments of the labor force in coming decades. A successful global response to climate change will therefore require a broad-scale revitalization of the global environmental governance regime. 2 Better global environmental governance is part of the answer, but labor laws will also have to play a role.
