Buffon-Laplace Needle Problem considers a needle of a length randomly tossed on a large plane with vertically parallel lines with distances and (), respectively. Previous results mainly focus on the `short needle' case of . Here we analytically calculate the probability of a needle of any intersecting with lines, specifically in the cases of , , , and . Our theory naturally retrieves the analytical solution of Buffon's Needle Problem when goes to infinity. Our analytical framework is further confirmed by results from numerical simulation.
