Medical imaging visualization technology takes a significant role in the medical community. With the assistance of medical imaging visualization applications, huge convenience has been brought into clinical diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment. It allows doctors and researchers to see inside the human body, to identify medical problems, and to diagnose diseases. This article presents a lightweight, fast and user-friendly image viewer for medical imaging called SPIFFY. Some developing methodologies with the integration of VTK, ITK, and Qt will be presented in this article. Besides, the minimalist user interface(UI) design of SPIFFY with an application of Human-Computer Interaction(HCI) psychology principles will also be introduced.
