Introduction
In today’s dynamic and vulnerable world, organizations should assure that managers and employees respect ethical matters and practice MORAL INTELLIGENCE. The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between MORAL INTELLIGENCE and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT of social welfare rehabilitation centers’ employees-Yazd city.
Materials & Method
This is a descriptive-correlational study and the sample consists of all 150 employees of welfare rehabilitation centers of Yazd. In order to collect data “MORAL INTELLIGENCE Questionnaire” Lenik & Kiel and “Organizational Commitment Questionnaire” Allen & Meyer were used. The reliability of questionnaires are as follow: a= 0.82, a= 0.78. Data was analyzed with SPSS/20.
Findings
The mean score of ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT's subscales are as follow: affective 26.74 (SD: 5.25), continues 28.52 (SD: 3.30) and normative 27.87 (SD: 2.50). Findings of the study showed that there was a correlation between MORAL INTELLIGENCE and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT (r= 0.428, P= 0.010).
Conclusion
A positive significant correlation between MORAL INTELLIGENCE and ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT of social welfare rehabilitation centers’ employee’s welfare and rehabilitation was observed. Hence, it is suggested to improve the component of MORAL INTELLIGENCE and staff commitment through educational programs.
