METHODS:
A cross-sectional retrospective study of BRFSS (from 2016 to 2021) included survey participants who self-reported a diagnoses of kidney cancer. We used a multivariable logistic regression model analyses (MVA) to assess the outcomes of (a) 14+ days per month when mental health was not good and (b) 14+ days per month when physical health was not good. In both models, we adjusted for gender, age, number of years from being diagnosed, treatment status, income, marital status, smoking status, BMI, history of depression, history of coronary heart disease or myocardial infraction, and history of chronic heart disease.
RESULTS:
Of 2,632,674 survey participants, we identified 695 kidney cancer patients and survivors. Of these, 254 (36.6%) reported 0 days physical activity or exercise within the last 30 days, whereas 440 (63.4%) reported> 1 day (Table 1). MVA modeling revealed significant association …
