Description
METHODS:
We analyzed TC patients between 2004 and 2016 using multivariable logistic regression analysis to investigate predictors of disease stage. Using a multivariable multinomial logistic regression, we calculated the marginal predicted probability for stage I, II, and III disease. We then estimated the adjusted risk difference (ARD) for each racial and ethnic group vs non-Hispanic white (NHW).
RESULTS:
We identified 70,757 TC patients for analysis. Descriptors and predictors are found in Table 1. Non-Hispanic black race (NHB)(OR: 1.21, 95% CI:[1.09, 1.35], p< 0.01) and Hispanic ethnicity (OR: 1.16, 95% CI:[1.09, 1.23], p< 0.01) were significant predictors of late stage (stage II/III) presentation. We also found a significant decrease in the adjusted predicted probability for stage I presentation in both NHB (ARD:-0.04, 95% CI:[-0.06,-0.02], p< 0.01) and Hispanics (ARD:-0.03, 95% CI:[-0.04,-0.01], p< 0.01) and a …
