Cysticercus cellulosae was found in 17% of 2000 pigs slaughtered between December 1980 and December 1982, with a higher rate in pigs from rural areas than in pigs from an indoor unit. All 850 goats and 400 sheep were negative. Of 600 human beings 4% were infected with T. solium.
