Description
Linguistic patterns have proven their importance for the knowledge engineering field especially with the ever-increasing amount of available data. This is especially true for the Semantic Web, which relies on a formalization of knowledge into triples and linked data. This paper presents a number of syntactic patterns, based on dependency grammars, which output triples useful for the ontology learning task. Our experimental results show that these patterns are a good starting base for text mining initiatives in general and ontology learning in particular.
