We present evidence for the divergence of the static dielectric susceptibility in liquids as they are supercooled towards T 0, the temperature where the dynamics in the liquid come to a halt. This divergence occurs when the width of the imaginary part of the dielectric response approaches a finite limit derivable from a scaling form for the susceptibility. Fits to the temperature dependence of the width indicate that this divergence may occur at T 0.
