One of the fastest and most economical forms of communication in the recent years is email. Due to its popularity, it is prone to be exploited. One such exploitation is the posting of unsolicited, unwanted commercial emails known as spam or junk emails. This paper presents and discusses on independent feature selection as spam filtering technique and Neural Network was chosen as the filtering technique used to evaluate its effectiveness.
