Description
Young firms which grow extremely rapidly are a phenomenon attracting increasing attention from the public, resource providers and governments. The perspective of rapid growth firm owners, government policy advisors, and external resource providers on the factors which promote firm growth and the roles which governments and resource providers can play were contrasted. Qualitative data gathered from interviews, public documents, open-ended questionnaire responses, and a group discussion were analyzed to identify similarities and differences in individuals' and groups' perspectives. The nature and implications of gaps in understandings are discussed.
