Description
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate and evaluate the use of an arts-‐informed life history approach in a study of event travel career trajectories (ETCTs). The ETCT has so far been applied to sports rather than the arts and to amateurs rather than professionals. This study therefore considers the ETCTs of nineteen amateur and professional artists and producers in Singapore. Despite being a well-‐established research approach, life history as a research method in tourism has received little attention and this paper explores the arts-‐informed aspects of this method.
