Diagnostic imaging plays a pivotal role in the assessment and management of various dental abnormalities, both developmental and acquired. This article presents a detailed analysis of the most common developmental and acquired dental abnormalities (summerized in Table 1) and highlights how diagnostic imaging can aid in the accurate identification and thus management of these conditions.
