Description
The two chapters in this section each take a different direction from the crossroads at which the analysis of globalisation is presently situated. One chapter deals with the various shortcomings of the globalisation debate by undertaking a substantial departure from the field, and opening up a different theoretical line of inquiry via actor-network theory. The other stays within the fold, attempting to address shortcomings of past analyses and laying open the possibilities for incorporating some of the insights from the actor-network theory approach of the first chapter.
