Educational reform has been focused on the goal for all students to be college and career ready. Industry leaders have indicated that students have not been prepared to enter the workplace. Teachers must possess the proficiency and understand their responsibility to prepare students to be independent minded as they face the challenges of the 21st century. Curricular integration of employability and technical skills into the academic knowledge base has become an important factor in preparing students to be career ready.
